BODY WORK
Body work it’s a true artisan work and refers to the process of repairing and restoring the body of a vehicle, including the chassis, body panels, and trims. At Love My Car we still have the old artisans working and teaching the younger ones how to feel it, shape it and do it.
The process begins with a thorough inspection of the vehicle to identify any damage or issues that need to be addressed. The technician will then remove any damaged panels or trim and repair or replace them as necessary. They may also need to repair any rust or corrosion that has formed on the metal.
Body work on a classic car can be a time-consuming and intricate process, but it is essential to maintaining the value and appearance of the vehicle. Love My Car has experienced technicians with the skills and expertise to properly restore the body of a classic car and rebuilds a car from zero if needed.
PAINTING JOB
The painting service on a classic car at Love My Car is an extremely thorough job that goes through several phases.
These phases include cleaning and disinfection of the surfaces to be painted, often using a blasting media, application of high quality primer coat, preparation and smoothing of the surfaces with polyester, sanding: mostly manual, application of primer filler, again sanding, application of mastics for proper sealing of the car, application of a new coat of paint in a specialized booth and finally polishing of surfaces and chrome.
At Love My car all mechanical parts go through exactly the same painting process as the body and chassis.
The main goal of this service is to return the vehicle to its original splendour with a paint job that will last for decades and turn heads when your car drives away. At Love My Car, the process is done by experienced professionals who have the knowledge and experience to properly paint these unique and valuable vehicles.
SURFACE CLEANING – BLASTING MEDIA
At Love my Car we have our own blasting media service, we built a specific booth where we use specialized state of the art equipment to regulate the pressure that we use in each work and high level security equipment to protect our technicians.
The blasting media is propelled at controlled speeds onto the surface of the car, effectively stripping away the unwanted materials and leaving a clean, smooth surface for further restoration or painting. Blasting media services are used to clean and restore the body of a classic car, as well as individual parts such as engines, transmission, and suspension. It is a very effective and efficient way of removing unwanted materials without causing damage to the underlying metal.
We only use Aluminium oxide to do our cleaning, this guarantees a smooth work and free of unwanted silicium that normally damages the surface when using sand.
ELECTRICS
